Jim Andrews

(tenor banjo - 1945)

As a Blue Grass Boy: Andrews was a comedian who also played tenor banjo (a four-string banjo usually played with a flat pick), the only Blue Grass Boy ever featured on that instrument. He was playing with the band at the time Earl Scruggs auditioned in late 1945.
